White Oak Canyon has some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Shenandoah National Park. Combining two out-and-back hikes, White Oak Canyon & Cedar Run, this loop starts at the bottom of the valley and cuts over near the top of the ridge. With five major falls, numerous smaller cascades and pools, this circuit hike is one of the best.
Join us on a day trip September 13th to visit the birthplace of the National Anthem. Not only will this trip celebrate the bicentennial of our anthem but the Battle of Baltimore as well.
After arriving at the Fort, scouts will have the opportunity to watch a film on the Battle of Baltimore and the writing of the Star Spangled Banner, tour the exhibits, participate in the Young Defenders program and watch demonstrations by the US Navy’s Blue Angels.
Time to get out of our cars and into a canoe/kayak for a trip down the beautiful Shenandoah River the weekend of June 19-21. We will leave Friday evening and camp at the Shenandoah River Outfitters Camp site, featuring fire rings, picnic tables, and shower house with hot water!
