Timberline Resort is conveniently located in Davis, West Virginia, within 200 miles of Falls Church. The mountain itself measures 4268 feet and adjacent to the Dolly Sods Wilderness area which is on the Eastern Continental Divide. There are ~ 40 runs and 4 Lifts. Scouts participating will be able to work on their Snow Sports merit badge while staying in a bunk house with cafeteria style food provided at an affordable price! Troop 349’s March Campout to Elizabeth Furnace recreation area, located in the George Washington National Forest, will focus on the Pioneering merit badge. The Pioneering merit badge was one of the original 57 merit badges issued by the Boy Scouts of America in 1911.
The Troop 349 shooting sports campout will be from November 20 through November 22. Shooting will be at the Clark Brothers Shooting Range, camping will be at Sky Meadows State Park.

It is time to ride! On this trip we plan to be primarily working on the Horsemanship Merit Badge while at the Marriott Ranch. While riding along the scenic trail you will see longhorn cattle, and pass through the “Marriott Forks” Western Town and Paradise Valley. Your guide will point out many other points of interest along the way. Riding helmets are required.
