Troop 349’s March Campout to Elizabeth Furnace recreation area, located in the George Washington National Forest, will focus on the Pioneering merit badge. The Pioneering merit badge was one of the original 57 merit badges issued by the Boy Scouts of America in 1911.

It is time to ride! On this trip we plan to be primarily working on the Horsemanship Merit Badge while at the Marriott Ranch. While riding along the scenic trail you will see longhorn cattle, and pass through the “Marriott Forks” Western Town and Paradise Valley. Your guide will point out many other points of interest along the way. Riding helmets are required.
